FAIRLY EARLY IN HIS LIFE, Philip Mostow's family moved to a traditional home in Highland Park; but his first few years were staged in pure Mid-Century Modernica (hip late '50s split). I suppose you could say it's in his hardwiring.

In the mid-Eighties, Philip received an undergraduate degree in Architecture from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Diploma in hand, he promptly landed a job as a ski instructor. His folks were thrilled. To supplement his income, he found work as a graphic designer and was launched into the emerging world of digital graphics. He never looked back.

After an early-Nineties move to the Pacific Northwest, Philip founded a display graphics firm (trade shows, etc.), which he ran for ten years. During that time he indulged his architectural yearnings by rehabbing and self-marketing several Mid-Century Modern homes in the Portland area (basically his own little preservation and appreciation movement). Each property was different, and thankfully, every transaction successful. Helping the cause was laser-targeted advertising, made possible by a strong feel for the market. Some nicely developing negotiating skills didn't hurt, either.

In early '03, with ever proliferating nieces and nephews, the call back to his roots was irresistable; and the transition to Modernist Real Estate agent in his once and current home, natural.
